Neil: yours might be later style with vent holes and snap over clips.
Yes on the tape. Good old “Snap-Off” or Blew-Up Point.
I also neglected to polish the lid.
If the original poster is close by, I might even let him have one of the lids.
Sorry, I do not ship parts. JM

Haha, you might need to treat yourself to new reading glasses Trainzkid : ), perfectly readable where I'm sitting. Down to the 1/8 should be good enough for his purposes

JM, yes sir, the latest and greatest. Of course, the snap on latches are long gone but oh well. I suppose if I knew which type to look for, I could source some replacements. The inside of the box is missing the supports etc. but I have an Optima 6v battery in there so the dimensions are different anyway. I used the foam packing that the battery came in and it fits snugly inside the battery box so I'm calling that good : )

Cheers,
Neil

Sorry, I’m in Northern California.
Neil: I had one of those boxes that D4e gave me; heavy duty and different; ended up on a D4 I sold.

I would say that is the best battery clamp I have ever scene, nothing like todays tin thing that bends or just don't fit correctly.
