Oil leak was created by D9e34a
Hi guys
i have D9e 34a with a diesel torque converter
The problem i have is engine oil pouring out of the fuel drain on the converter
My first thought was the rear main oil seal but apparently its a metal "thrower"type can these break or move ?
the engine oil pressure always reads of the dial,i checked the relife valve and found that it was stuck shut,I remedied this thinking there was too much oil going to the crankshaft but it didn't cure the problem (oil pressure gauge was also faulty)
so I'm thinking now it may not becoming from the crank but may be a gasket or welsh plug !
Has any one else had a problem  like this?

The rear crankshaft sealing is done by a thrower that has one sealing ring. I suspect bearing wear has allowed the crankshaft to drop enough to accelerate leakage or the thrower piston ring may be worn out or damaged.
