Hi, clayton.
Nope, I don't think it was Cat OEM. I have seen a LOT of the smaller Fiat crawlers, AT7s and the like, fitted with that sort of lift arrangement to avoid hanging the weight of the blade on the front of the tractor when it was not designed for it.

I have seen it occasionally on some other makes too but names don't spring to mind at the moment. It is an easy way of keeping the weight of the blade on the track frames which can handle it.
