Hi Eddie,
The application lists are for the 9R CCU only.
The #23 & #25 have an application list of their own.
Guess that's about as far as we can get with year of manufacture for now, thanks again for the info.

Old Magnet,
On that pic. of the rear end of the D8 with the LeTourneau DDCCU, what is the other pulley on the far left side and the 2 pulleys up above it for? Never seen one like that before. catskinner

That's a good question "catskinner" maybe you can help identify. Just something I grabbed of the net. Some type of custom application combo blade & boom maybe??? Here's a couple more pics.

I got the serial number of the blade: 8A3989 also stamped on there is DOB147,
I wonder if that could be "Date of Build" 1/47 ?

The serial number of the CCU is 9D3276.

Ihe old girl looks to be in pretty fair shape other than the tracks are pretty well run out. The rollers are lifetime and might be OK. Does anyone know the rail height for the old D8?

Think you hit pay dirt with that 1/47 date of build:D
Seems about right for the blade sequence which ran from 8A1001-up with six different styles before settling in on 8A2875-up.
Also it would seem the CCU is a match in a series that ran from 9D501 to 9D51934++
The info I have on rail height shows 4-3/4 in. new.
Ya did good on your purchase and seems to be a matched set dozer package correct for the application.

As far as new/used rails for the early D8 (8" pitch) the current link numbers are 7H3800 &7H3799 and are shared by the 1H,8R,2U,13A,14A & 14A models with a link height of 4.88 in.

Old Magnet,
At first I thought maybe a pipe layer but there is nothing down on lower track frame to mount boom on so I don't have any idea. Never seen one like that. catskinner

I was thinking more of an A frame type boom out front using the trunnions for pivot. At least that's the direction the double sheave is going. It is a bit unique:confused:
