Hi there guys, I am currently restoring a D2 ser #5J4806SP see previous
post ( d2 rescue) for pics. It came with the engine removed and completely
stripped down and over the years all but one of the main bearing caps,
one cylinder liner and all the piston rings have gone missing. I have managed
to come by a replacement engine ser #3J6591SP and I plan to refurbish this
one to use in the tractor.
To get me going with the rebuid I need the part numbers for the following
items:-
Cylinder liners, pistons and rings, cylinder liner seals, big end and main bearing
shells, head gasket.
Also if any UK members know where there is a fender type fuel tank
going I would be pleased to know as that is missing as well.
Thanks in advance

Alan, he also needs liners too so all the number I have is from an R2 book but think they possibly are the same & are 4B6341 & it takes shims under the top of liner & is 2A5633 & you did list the seals for the bottom.

that the R2 liner is the same as the D2 one before I get my cheque
book out.

Andy,
Have you found a source for the parts you need in the UK yet?
In addition to Finning's, you could also try John Moore, Stafford (supplied my 9U engine parts) Jaytrac, Northampton or KEP, Durham.
Martyn Williams (you can contact him via the BB Private Message service) did have a fender mounted tank for sale recently on ebay.
