If this is an older series 5J with low hours it could still have the composit pistons in it, in which case you may have one coming apart. If this is the case it would normally have told you so loudly, but maybe it has small chunks breaking off at this point.

I would tackle the clutches one side at a time so the other side is anchoring the tractor on the ground. Break one track, jack up that side so the rollers are clear of the track, remove the dead axle cap and plate inside and carry the track frame off sideways with a hoist. You will need a jack under the spring to take tension off and also line it up for reassembly. I've done it this way and found it to be pretty easy.

If it's rusted up that bad in the clutch drum, I don't envy you a bit pulling the drum off the plate pack with the final drive. Don't hurt yourself. Good luck.

I got a pretty good handle on disassembling the track and frames. The way you explain it sounds easier! I'll keep it in mind when I get it into the shop.
