Hi,

Ive got a barn find R2, and after shifting some of the junk out of the way, have discovered that it is missing the magneto and leads, the radiator cap and the fuel cap...

As Im based in the UK, I would prefer to source these bits through one supplier and ship in one consignment.

Many thanks

Stu

Check the suppliers sticky on the top of the discussion page. In any event you are going to need the serial number to acquire the correct parts. Serial should be on the back toward the left side and also on the left side of the engine toward the back. Left of engine is while setting on the seat. You may be able to have one of the supplies gather the stuff up and send it as a unit. Good luck finding all you need.

Magneto is an Eiseman CM4 ,can usually be picked fairly easy, just make sure it is complete with Impulse , and the Radiator Cap [5B1343 ] should be available from Your Cat Dealer and I think you may also get Fuel Cap [4B5441 ] from Them . You would be suprised what Cat carry still carry .How about some Pic's ??? LJ

If you have NO radiator cap you may want to do what I have done and used for years: cut a 12 oz. beer can in half and slide it over the radiator neck. My D2 has never gotten hot enough to cause it to come off or to steam. I use Hamms but I suppose Coors or some other inferior brand would suffice.
