I am a retired CAT Dept Manager. My department played a key role in the development of the Caterpillar hydraulic hammer line in the 1990's. When the line was launched we had several hammers that were used in dealer demos, events and shows. The above hammer s/n CH630001, was such a hammer. Following the demo programs the units were placed on the bargain lists and b/c of my interest in the new line I bought this unit s/n # 1 H63 as a collector item and to use occasionally on my farm.

The hammer still has the original tool in it, looks like new, no rust and the hoses and couplers are shiny with NO sign of any weathering. The hammer has the original decals and paint on it. Never outside except for brief periods of use. The paint is very close to show room perfect and has only been touched up in a few places due to minor handling mars. The hammer has always been stored vertically in a heated dry shop. I last used it about a year ago briefly to break up a small concrete patio with our skid steer and it worked perfectly. I have not checked the accumulator pressure in a few years but the hoses did not vibrate when we used the hammer so I believe the charges to still be OK.
Here are the specs:
H63 Hammer - Model CH63A, s/n CH63A0001, Mfg. 1997, BPM 400-2000 (Blows per Minute) oil flow 5-26 gpm, Certified Impact Energy 372 J, Operating Oil Press 1400-2000. Hammer weight is approx. 860 LB. This is a perfect item for shows, work days or just for collection. It is 100% Caterpillar with the CAT Universal Skid Steer mounting bracket.
I am open to serious offers, ... but keep in mind that H63 hammers in well used condition at a CAT dealership or even on e bay bring serious $ and they are not essentially new, serial number one versions. The hammer is located in Eastern Kansas. Call me at 785 456 5964 with any questions.
