I am posting this for a friend who has this Caterpillar scraper for sale. Unfortunately the ID tag is missing. Looking for some help on this forum to identify the model. The Blade measures 10 feet.$3200. If you are interested, you can post your phone number here or send it to me in a PM and I will have him contact you. Thanks    .

Nice one with original spoke wheels. I want to guess its a 66. This one looks to be a keeper. Thanks JM

Does look like a 66 but with the 10 foot blade it’s probably a number 44 grader. most likely had steel rims on it. They used to cut the spokes off and weld them to a modern rim like that to put rubber tires on them. Skinner

Here’s a chart showing what model coincides to the main frame channel.

I think Skinner needs to take the short drive to buy it for his grandkids to play with! I approve! JM

side-seat, you wouldn't happen to have a similar chart for track frame channel would you? My 5U appears to have channel where the top leg is longer than the bottom leg

Cheers,

Thank you all for helping to identify this grader. I'll ask the owner to measure the frame. It looks like it could be an 8 inch frame.

Frame measures 3 x 7 so its definitely a 44. Thanks to all of you who put the pieces of this puzzle together.
