Trakman...We finally got some rain, no snow. I bet you did also, needed it bad. 1.5 to 2.2 inches. I too like the Sunflower disks. Had a 45' Krause, bought it sight unseen, thought I was getting a 41 footer. Could pull it allright, but was unhandy to fold up and move. Didn't fit the terraces too well.

68j... See your Krause disk has the "C" standards connecting disk bearing to frame. That was a good idea. 98j, does your snow drift bad? Looks like your roads would need a lot of plowing if it did.

dewets...Enjoyed your pictures. Why were you bagging grain? Do you still bag it?

Guys... I am not sure how I managed to post this picture, but here it is. Cutting wheat in 1948, maybe making 10 to 15 bushels per acre.

Darroll..yep finally got moisture...all in rain which suited me just fine....a little over an inch. Your pic of the cat pulling the combine brought back memories to me. In the early 50's, dad had a self-propelled combine(his first) and it had "Bomber" tires on it....well, it had NO traction and wouldn't go anywhere that wet year. He parked it, got the Fifteen Cat out and hooked on to the pull type Combine. He had sold the electric lift for the header and jury rigged a big wheel of sorts on the jackshaft and it was my job to turn the wheel upon his direction to raise or lower the header. Oh what FUN!
