Excellent work as always bill. Not spoken in a while hope your ok. You like to do your projects like I do, and make sure everything is stripped and renewed if needed.
Great work👍

Hi Stew,
Yes....I have a bad habit of starting out small but before I know it every part is taken off and cleaned, repaired and painted as necessary. I think we are both hit with that problem....
I have more pictures but too tired to post. Got to feed my pup and the "welfare deer before it gets dark.
Have a good evening...……..Bill

Hi Bill;
Very nice work and enjoyed talking on the phone with you today ,
Tom
LOL, Tom, does he prattle on about the virtues of cast iron and corn bread? Glad to see that Bill continues to work on other "worthy" pieces of cast iron and steel. Looks good my friend.

Thanks Bruce...…. this project is a challenge much like the others were. I continue to get things done as I can. Work keeps getting in the way!
Take care my friend...……..Bill

The dirtiest and most awkward to handle part of the project in my opinion...……….

I have to take a few minutes here to remind everyone to be careful when working in your shops. I try to keep an organized and clean shop but even then things can happen. I had a small accident in the shop which resulted in really bad bruise on my leg and ego. Right now we are hoping no surgery but a couple more weeks and we'll see.
That being said I did manage to get the rails and pads sandblasted, primered and two coats of paint. They are ready for assembly as soon as the bolts arrive.
If someone would be so kind as to flip the pictures I would appreciate that.

Good job!
Its a common thing to take paint of of matching surface between plates and tracks, otherwise after tightening the bolts and driving the plates become loose again.
I use to leave track plates on and paint it.

MARCOTEN,
Thanks for the reminder as I am aware of the issue. I have done two other sets of rails and pads this way and painting is much easier and complete. There will be metal on metal contact when I do final assembly of rails and pads with a final coat of paint then. I have a tendency to do things in a little different order than normal.....it's just me...…
Have a good day...……..Bill

Well I am back on track somewhat now. I was able to get radiator assembled and painted.
Also got some of the pads bolted to the rails but ran out of new bolts and apparently the size is a bit difficult to come by. I'll post those pictures when complete.
Have a good day Bill
