That is some fantastic information and I am sure it will and has come in handy! Although I am sure it has been gone through several times, with that date code I suspect it may be the original head. There are valve seats that were installed at some paint. I am really glad to be a member here. You are all a wealth of knowledge. Thank you!

Hello OM,

Are the valves from the rd4 2A3269 and 2A3340 the same as the valves used in the newer d4400 7B9326 and 7B9327?

Yes, they are the same. Although there is it least one update to the part numbers.

What is the update do you know it? I have 4g132 and it needs it head done. need new seats and all new valves. and have to pull out the precom chamers so they can resurface the head.

Updated valve numbers appear to be 2a3289 exhaust & 2a3360 intake. I would confirm they update with Cat. Sorry, can't help with numbers for seats.

Hi lifeafterourloss,
This is the tool that you need to pull the precoms our of a head with hold down injectors.

You may have to make something similar as it is no longer available.
