Pete:

Thanks for the pics. It looks like you guys had a great time in the Chino Hills. Sounds like you and your mom better get the jeep finished up before anything REALLY BAD happens to you or your riders.

That came out to play.

Special thanks to Glen for coming so far, and working nonstop, and his help with fuel.
Also to Mike for coming down early and for debuting the HO D8.

The ranch staff worked very hard cleaning up the barn and preparing/serving lunch. Thanks to them. heavensranchllc.com/index.html

Everything work well, Mike had a little fuel issue on the D4, and a couple things on the D8 CCU, all got fixed up

There was one little mishap...

Hey Glen, the $3 a gallon diesel is starting to scare me. Sure hope it don't drop any more.

I took the Cajon pass home this time. It's about 30 miles longer but a lot smoother. Unfortunately my KW picked up a vibration at 56 mph about half way home. Didn't seem to matter if I was on or off the power it would shake above 56. So I stopped twice on the side of the road and inspected the tires and drive shaft but I didn't find any thing wrong. The funny thing is after I unloaded the D8 I took the trailer for a drive and no more vibration. So it's got me thinking my tires are going bad. There about 60% good but there 6 years old. Any body have any suggestions?

Thanks for the good time Carl:D . I'll see you down there this weekend.

Mike, jack up the wheels one at a time and spin them and watch if there is any that are out of round or wobble.. I'll bet you have a tire with broken belts. Also look for bulges in the side walls.

Hey Chuck I fallowed your advise but didn't find anything rear bad. The tires where all pretty consistent, just a little out of round. I replaced two u-joints that where a little sloppy. Test drove it without the trailer and she rides fairly smooth. When I piggy back the D4 home from Carl's I'll find out if it is weight related. Hope them good old expensive tires are not coming apart.

I wish I had a cozad to borrow, otherwise I would have brought one of the Vista Museum's dozers up for the play day, I have a 63 Pete with the cozad ramps, but no suitable trailer to use.
