I'd love to see the preview. I don't have satellite and there's no cable in my area. Does that get shown on regular TV or by some other means?

Thanks,
Brian

We are over 400 and counting for the BSOT. I know there are lots of other tractors that are coming and many entries are coming in daily.

16 Days and counting.

I am really excited as Best 60 No. 101 A, the first of its breed is now back in California and I will be reunited with it tomorrow. It left CA in October of 2001 bound for MN and its restoration and is now back in the state that it had not left since 1918 and 1919 when it went to multiple states to be tested before it went back to San Leandro for final changes that were made for the production models. Marty in Reno went out and met the truck this afternoon and will post a couple of pics of 101 A, the only closed sprocket top seat owned by Ed and my 5E R2 on their way to the BSOT.

Thanks Marty.

Well we rounded out the Holt lineup today by deciding to pull the Holt 60 out of the Heidrick Museum and take it to the show. Two other Holt 60's seem to have fallen by the wayside so we were lucky to have the fallback of the one that was owned by Joe and Fred when they farmed together.

SOOOOO, starting with the biggest we now have at least one of each of the following and multiples of most: Holt 120, Stockton 75 both early and late, Peoria 75, 60, 45, tiller wheel 25-40, 30, midget, 10 Ton, peoria and stockton 5 Ton, experimental (earlier than the 5 Tons), 2 ton and most of a 2 1/2 ton military. Add to this the Holt steam crawler, harvesters etc and Holt will be well represented.

On the Best side we have one of each of the following and multiples of most:
Best 110 steamer, Best 75, 60 (at least 1 of each of the 5 major variations of the 60), 40, 30, 30 orchard tractor, 25 and 3 Daniel Best gas engines dating from the late 1880's into the early 1890's. Add to this the only Best harvester that any of us know about and there you have it.

All at the Dan Best ranch and it starts less than 14 days from now.

Hi, Tom.
Great stuff. The show is sounding better and better all the time.

I have a slight suspicion that GWH has some plans for keeping me out of mischief. He has been mumbling something about taking a few photos here and there. Seems he wants some kinda record of all the rust and grease at the show and also wants some photos to put in the mag..

Roll on show days.

You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

If there are any of the antique truck guys out there that have room to haul stuff to the show please contact me by email or better yet by cell phone 805 748-0593. I think we are going to run out of time before we run out of tractors to move.

Thanks. Tom
