Did like the feature that said who was online. and how many. Doesn't seem the numbers are there. I had to update my info to get my avatar again, will the avatars come automatically later?

Thanks

It tells you who and how many are online at the bottom of the forum page very similar to how it always has been

OK I thought the numbers were on the Topics page how many viewing each Topic.
Must be some memory loss occurring.

I don't think I am seeing what Phil is seeing. From old book mark after getting a new password, things open with ACMOC in middle real big and the club logo on the left with the Cat 60 being part of logo.

Thanks to those that explained how to see peoples location.

(I would give everyone the wink, but I have lost emojis) I have a son that makes his living in computer tech help,so he cleans this confounded confuser, this old dirt farmer tangles up every once in a while. So there are add blocker and who knows what all that may keep me from the whole experience on here.

So any thing easy to get emojis back?

Several other places I visit for farm and old tractor stuff have been up dated and this one is giving me more trouble figuring out than the others. Lets hope things keep being explained and a few more things added and the Cat knowledge is still here in the future.

I have been following this forum daily ever since it ran on the discuss software. That was a good system. It was easily searchable. There have been many upgrades. All the upgrades since then have been a step backwards.
This upgrade is useless. It looks like everyone has fled. Hardly worth checking in anymore.

Unfortunately most of us on the site now feel abandoned with very little input from the board designer or builder. We don't get any updates on what is going on if anything to enhance the board information and timelines. Many photos are still in cyberspace with a few appearing in some old posts but most that I have been looking for are still not available. Hopefully they are not lost for good.

I belong to a group called RC Groups that is for us model airplane freaks. www.rcgroups.com/batteries-and-chargers-129/?

Their website is plain like ours but they have flowered it up a bit. At the very bottom of the page on rcgroups, one can click on a style that changes the information shown and would be handy for those that want location and other data visible on the page.

Preview, a very basic process to web forums does not work at least not on my PC and it is the std windows 10 about 2 years old. Sad to see this so called great web site improvements die on the vine.

I understand this new BB is part of the new system to keep track of memberships, inventories and financials but with what I have seen so far we are about to have a club disaster. Just to be blunt and up front I question if the site builder knows what is wanted or if they are in this waaaaaay over their head. Lets hope that is not the case.

OK, another question, I have hundreds of old threads I've started over the years and every now and then need to go back and re read the content, or refresh the thread to help someone, but I can't seem to find all my old threads, or posts pre 2020.

Please confirm all our old threads and posts pre 2020 are not lost to the ethernet, that would be a real disaster to lose all that technical info I've gleaned over the years, I'm not very bright at the best of times.
Thanks
Mike

Is there any news from the web committee or ADCO on this upgrade, I see only a few photo's have come across in a week, goodness knows where all my old threads and posts are hiding, or was it decided we didn't need them either, just like we don't need our old private messages, and no sign of our members list, so many basic functions are missing

For the life of me I can not understand why this new board wasn't discussed with members first, and test run to bed it all in, I'm hearing people who have changed their email address over the years can't log in to create a new password, because the tempory password generated by ACMOC get's sent to their old email address.

Hello Mike
They must be doing something. On the latest email notification for this thread it said;
"Please note that you will not receive any further email notifications for this topic until you log in and read it."

Very small improvement but it is one step forward.

Totally agree with your statement about testing. If ACMOC paid $30k for this then it should have been tested thoroughly before release.

Regards

Phil
