Call Hampton Back and speak with the Manager. I know of several people who have made reservations for the show at Hampton as well as other Hotels. Call M-F during normal business hours and ask to speak to the manager regarding the ACMOC rooms.

I just finished making a reservation at the Hampton Inn, after 2 failed attempts last week. Now that its less than a year away it shows up in their computer and the front desk people can make the reservation. $ 139.00 + tax per night for a king-no smoking.

Take a look at www.aghistory.org . We now have pictures of some of the Best, Holt and Caterpillar machines that will be at the show. The accomodations are listed and there are pictures of the ranch where the show will be held. We will update with information as we have it.

I got registered this time. Part of the issue is that they say less than one year but it's really 360 days or less on the Internet reservation system.

Thanks

Lots of progress made on the show as far as what the line up of old cats will be. I had a conversation with one individual yesterday and I encouraged him to bring his dad's old RD 4 to the show. He said there would likely be lots of RD 4's at the show and that he would probably just come as a spectator. I don't know how it is in other parts of the world, but here in CA we don't see lots of RD 4's at the shows. I would like to see this gentleman bring the RD 4 because it is a sweet running tractor that is in it's work clothes and it is more fun to participate rather than just observe. I told him that if that was everyones attitude that we would not have a show as no one would bring tractors.

The point of my rambling is this. To make a show great, EVERYONE who is able and lives close should strive to bring a tractor etc. to participate for the enjoyment of all attendee's, and specifically for all of you who have to jump on an airplane and cross this country or an ocean or two to get here. It seems that no matter what tractors of mine manage to find their way to a show someone walks up to me and tells me a story about family or friends that had an identical tractor that they drove for the very first time . . . . you have all heard the same stories. It is always such a wonderful conversation and it is worth all of the hastle and expense to get the tractors to the show just to see the looks on the faces of the people who pay to see the stuff we take for granted.

Anyway, lots of people are busting their a**** to get ready for this show and put on an incredible display of early iron. Anything that any of you can do to help is appreciated. If there are any of you in N. California that can assist us with the show in the next 11 months, please contact me and let me know what you can do to help. 11 months and 3 days to show time, but who is counting!

Curious... has the flyer/advertisement for the show been designed yet? Hint, hint... maybe a contest is in order? Just a thought...

I agree with Tom, if you can, bring 'em to the show. I've dragged my 22 around to various shows when ever I can. Even took it to Shelbyville, Iowa from Indiana. Still had several people drop by and chat.

When I flew out to the Cat show in Tulare, California in 2004, only the exhibitors could get a show button. I did find a very nice lady that gave me one. Hopefully anyone that wants a badge can get one at the upcoming show. I'm guessing the exhibitor badge thing is standard practice at the Tulare show?

Thanks for the nudge about lodging, Tom. Tonight I made my Motel 6 reservations in Woodland for $53 per night and will be at the show for all three days, camera in hand. Sure sounds like a great once-in-a-lifetime experience.
