Has anyone found a state Park or RV park close to the show yet? Something with electricity might be nice that time of year. JB

Willie, can you please clarify the issue of on site RV parking...... on 6-11-07 Tom Madden posted that the RV parking would be for exibitors only.... has that since changed to include visitors ??? And if so, will there be a reservation system like at Brooks, or first come like Tulare ?? Thanks, Wayne

Wayne:

Since that post, we have a recent development and Willie has figured out how to fit more RV units at the show site, sooooo even those who are not exhibitors will be allowed to hire an RV parking spot for the week for $75.00. But, I would still get my paid reservation in ASAP so you are assured a spot.

Please go to bestshowontracks.org, I believe the form is now up for downloading and paying for a site. Click on the bar at the top that says registration and go to the ticket order form. Please note, that in addition to purchasing the RV parking site for the week, each person staying in the RV will be required to have the three day button for the show which will need to be purchased. We are working to get our form changed to indicate this. Thank you for your patience.

That will get you a piece of ground 20ft.x 40ft. with plenty of access to pull in and out of, there will be few spots a bit longer in the back. Also there is plenty of parking in truck and trailer area so you can leave you equip. trailer and not take up all your camp area.
If there is any groups that want to be together Make sure you put that on your application so iI can reserve a block of sites together for you

Tom and Willie, Thanks for the updated information. I will fill out the reservation form now. When I get confirmation on a camping spot I will cancel my reservation at the Hampton Inn making it availible for someone else. Wayne

On another note from the very begining when Tom and I first decided to do this show about 3 yrs ago it was meant to be a show that was not just a place to bring a bunch of tractors lined up in static display, but more of educational show with static and working displays of what they did and the machinery they used, along with the evolution of the Tracklayer,Caterpillar, Crawler type tractors,Ect. . Along with the biggest display of farm machinery and impliments that were built in California from the giant machines used in the great Sacramento & San Joaquin Valleys and the smaller machines built for it's orchards,vineyards and small farms in the smaller surounding valleys to educate the thousands of people who come to and leave with a better understanding of how it was in the late 1800s early 1900s with all the 100s of failed inventions and the successful ones such as the Caterpillar, Combine Harvester & the Haypress just to name a few that were started right here within 50 miles of our show grounds.

The ACMOC BoD will be presenting these 6 awards at the show.
1. That the board of directors will present awards at the 2008 national show as follows:

For the most educational static display at the show;

For the most educational working display at the show;

For the oldest Best machine at the show;

For the oldest Holt machine at the show;

For the oldest Caterpillar machine at the show; and

For the Best, Holt, or Caterpillar machine that has traveled the longest distance to be displayed at the show.
