Nice that they (and the brakes) can be accessed without pulling the sprockets. I suspect that if I need to replace my brake linings on my D24U I will not be so lucky.

Ok, I see that in the attachment section of my parts manual.
Apparently there are two metallic face versions.
d2gary, is your clutch disc six segments per side riveted on (part of 8B9188 disc assembly)?
or one disc per side riveted on (part of 2F5801 disc assembly)?
