one thing i have had luck with is to drill a hole and tap it in the old broken bolt then get a new smaller bolt(same size as the tap) with a nut on it and screw the bolt into the new threads, tighten the nut onto the broken bolt and use a impact gun... im not sure if it will work on either application but i thought i would mention it...

The best method I've found for removing broken bolts is to build up a blob of weld on the end of the broken bolt with a MIG welder and use a small pipe wrench to unscrew the bolt. All that heat from the welding helps loosen the threads and it works about 95% of the time.:thumb:

If it's in cast iron, just blow it out with a torch & clean up the hole w/a tap...cuts better if you drill through it first, use a left-handed bit & it might catch & turn the bolt right out-then you don't even have to torch it...:thumb:

I would leave it out. Unless your planning on running it in a swamp.

I found a pedal for your 22 if you want to return it to original. You can have it for shipping. - Wally

i put the bearing thing upside down and the yoke is still in the same place... so i have to spend another 8+ hours working on it... so i am probably not going to work on it for a little while due to i dont have a cherry picker and the one i was using i had to take back and he is using it for another project... so i dont know whats next...... after i pull the stupid motor away from the tranny.... what should the nuts be torqued to ont the clutch??? maybe he did that wrong when he rebuilt it or??? i have no idea what to do now i am lost and not relly in any mood to work on it since it doesnt seem to do anything right!!!

Sunuva.......

Don't get too upset LCM, We've ALL done it before. Don't think of it as a mistake, think of the extra EXPERIENCE you'll gain by doing it twice!:lol::lol:

Someday you'll look back and laugh about this.

I, personally, have LOTS of things to laugh about. :thumb::thumb: Did I ever tell you about the time I caught my hair on fire? Way back when, I had long hair past my shoulders. One day I was soldering a radiator and set the torch down. I leaned over to look for more leaks and then all the sudden it's like "What's that smell???" The first emotion was fear,...then embarrassment, ...then anger, and now I just laugh about those days when I was "more stupid".
