You should be looking for a parts book. Lot's of valuable information in those things.

Maybe you should put a "Mechanic's Lien" on the thing?

hello lil cat mec ,there should be one clutch plate with a lining on each side ,the services book say to count the turns when undo them ,if it slips later you can tigthen them up ,the proplem would be if they were to tigth as the clutch would be driving all the time ,bruce oz

hello lil cat mec ,looking back at your pic ,did you adjusted the gap in the clutch brake ,the gap in your pic is a big gap ,while its off move the brake brake out one more hole ,that towards the engine and also check the adjustment on the petal on the left side ,specs are in the operators book ,also may sure all the oil that is all over the clutch compartment is washed off ,it maybe causing the brake clutch to slip ,bruce oz

hello lil cat mec ,i would think the main clutch is ok looking at your pic but if the clutch brake is not adjusted rigth it will not stop the gear shafts from spining which causes the gears to grind as they are not sinkromesh gears,
if you havnt got the 1.5 mm gap on the clutch brake and the 12mm adjustment on the petal on the outside shafts the main clutch is disengaded before the clutch brake can aply eough pressure to stop the gears from turning , bruce oz

the reason im asking is how little my clutch moves... here are the pics again!!!
im not touching the clutch pedal yet and the yoke is supposed to go towards the flywheel, in otherwords there is only about 1/2 an inch of movement before it hits the pressure plate!!!
another imporntant thing
the man who replaced the clutch put the wrong throwout bearing in it, it is to narrow... the inside dimater and outside are good it is just too thin so there is motion in the bearing case and on the shaft so the clutch isnt starting to disengage as soon as it should... so i am in need of the throwout bearing... im hoping i can get it from western states(our local CAT dealer and mechanic shop) am i right that the bearing number is 10+009??? thats what it looks like on my copy of the parts manual
