Replied by lil cat mec on topic motors off...
well one of my friends and i seperated the motor, it was a lot easier since i have done it once already, but anyways just looking at the clutch it looks like the man who rebuilt it may have put too many clutch plates in there... what is your thought??? and as for the throwout bearing, the man who rebuilt the clutch replaced it with a sealed bearing!

Clutch Disk is assembled correctly, the clutch material is on each side of the steel disk to transfer power from the engine faces to the steel disk which is splined to the transmission input shaft.
As far as the sealed bearing, anytime you can replace older technology with newer less maintenance technology, do it! :thumb:

We use alot of bearings and I prefer using metal sheilded bearing over rubber sheilds because the rubber will wear out over time and also cause the bearing to heat (but not much)

Replied by bruce oz on topic throw out nut
hello lil cat mec , the throw out has squared slot in it but using a chisel or punch to undo it has cut the square edges off the one you have ,i would get it welded up round and then cut new square slots back into it ,there was a g shaped spanner thay was used to undo ,do it up.you could get the spanner cut to fit while you have the nut of the tractor ,bruce oz

Replied by drujinin on topic Locking Tab Washer
If you are worried about the chewed up nut coming off, you must be missing the locking tab washer that should have been under it. Did you get a Parts book yet?
