Replied by old-iron-habit on topic Going to CA
Just talked to the seller. It is sold and going to south of San Francisco.

Edit: He is just waiting for the check. Said if check does not show up in a reasonable length of time he will relist it. Mentioned that there was a lot of interest in it from all over.

By the time the unit arrived here in Oz in your back yard Paul, and you paid all the freight bills and cleaning costs via Brisbane then up to Ayr, you wouldn't have seen much change out of $A4,500- $A5,000 I'm guessing, particularly if those Quaranteen Inspectors found a few grains of dirt, they hate crawler tracks and earth moving related gear with a passion and extra $1,000 cleaning bill is easy to rack up.

Tilly's quoted me $400 a side to turn pins and bushes on a D4 a month ago, that's if I removed the grouser plates first, and I expect my good mate Joe Camilleri there at Innisfail just up the road from you would be the same, you can get a few sets of chains done safely by those experts for $5,000 can't you, though that would have been a good unit for a semi retired, or retired person to drag behind a Landcruiser around Oz doing track chains in the bush for folks like me and you, because there are fewer and fewer track shops in Oz now.
Regards
Mike
