yea Ray you right about that,
lil cat mec: can you post here some pictures for me how the elect starter is mounted , maybe some pics from underneath because i am curious how this is mounted and maybe wanna make that for my machines. i know the flywheel with starter ring gear is connected to the primary shaft in the gear box,and transmission, but how is the starter motor attached?? and how are bearing set up? especialy if you ever would take it off the machine i would appreciate a picture , thanks,

I wish i would have taken pictures when i was having it rebuilt, i will try to take some of it today while i am puting gear oil in the finals and tranny! to start the motor you have to engage the PTO by the way

Hi LCM,
good news on your G/pa offering the 22 for sale to you.
Makes all the hard work worth while. Great your Dad is also keen on the unit--makes it easier to bring him on side for the deal to go thru.

Marcoten, I will be taking the starter off my 22 to replace a broken ring gear, and will take some photos. Here is one showing the normal mounting point for the starter. I have also shown another 22 where you can see the access cover where the starter mounts.

sorry i forgot about the pictures Ray! i will get some tomorrow! yes that is were the starter "SHOULD" Go lol... but mine is on the back
ill get some better pics of it... right now i just need to clean the gas tank and install it with the loader and the leafspring!
