Hi LCM,
good job on being the proud owner of a running 22 tractor.
All the hard work has paid off. No doubt G/Pa was putting you to the TEST to see if you were a worthy recipient. Persistance shone thru and the prize is yours.
Enjoy the fruits of your hard labour.
Cheers,
Eddie B.

i used electrolysis to clean teh rust up, it was slow and would of worked better if the water stayed warm and i would of waited longer but it got all of the major rust spots out, because when i was driving it around the rust in the tank would plug the hole in the bottom of the tank and i would loose fuel...

LCM, it would have helped if you put a short tube into the fitting that screws into the bottom of the tank. The tube (about an inch tall or so) will take fuel from above the tank bottom and all the heavy rust will stay be below it. This is an old trick that's been around forever.
You did the right thing by cleaning all the rust out, but that bare metal will rust up again over time. At some point you might consider coating the inside of the tank with some fuel tank sealer (make sure the sealer is alcohol proof, you can't find gas anymore without ethanol added thanks to our government). The sealer will keep the rust from coming back.

i have heard some people say not to use tank sealer so i was just planning on not sealing it and just trying to keep it full or empty! then it will not rust...
